2010 Jeep Liberty Battery Tray Parts and Q&A
Q: How to remove a battery tray on 2010 Jeep Liberty?
A: You need to first isolate the negative cable of the battery to remove the battery tray. The following thing to do is remove the battery. If gasoline is used, detach both the vacuum and electrical hoses connected to the purge solenoid on the vehicle. At this point, remove the retaining nut for the positive cable from the Totally Integrated Power Module, then pull the cable up from its stud. Press inward on the mounting clips with a flat tool to free and remove the TIPM housing from the bracket tabs. Remove the seven TIPM wire harness connectors from the TIPM housing and take out the TIPM. After unscrewing the TIPM bracket retaining screws, move the bracket behind, causing the mounting tabs to separate before taking it off the battery tray. After that, take out the three nuts connecting the battery tray to the left inner fender and lift the tray from the engine bay to get it out of the car.
