This stability is very important to sustain the battery's health and ensures efficiency and safety of the jeep liberty. Designed to be used with both generations of the Liberty, the Battery Tray contributes to the improvement of the car's performance by offering a stable base for the battery upgrade kit. Significantly, the Battery Tray is designed to cope with the sometimes aggressive conditions during off-road driving or other tough climate conditions and regular driving. It also strongly built and accurately fitted to the battery thus making it long lasting and this results to little chances of failure while at the same time it make the driving experience to be more enjoyable. Furthermore, similar to the Jeep Liberty, the Battery Tray establishment reflects the Jeep's strength and reliability among Jeep lovers and oblivious zombies. Since the Battery Tray is a structural component that holds the battery and is a major part of the Liberty's operation, it is indeed a critical component for any Liberty owner, fulfilling a functional and safety-oriented role.

Jeep Liberty Battery Tray Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to install a Battery Tray on Jeep Liberty?
    A:
You need to start with cleaning and examining the battery tray before setting it in place (1). After that, place the battery tray (1) onto the weld studs at the front edge of the left front wheelhouse inner panel. To install the battery tray (1), first tighten the nuts (2) onto the weld studs, until they reach a torque of 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.). Following securing the tray, fit the PDC onto the battery tray and lay the battery onto the tray.
  • Q: How to remove a battery tray on Jeep Liberty?
    A:
You should begin by disconnecting and isolating the battery's negative cable when preparing to take out the battery tray. After that, take out the battery. Gasoline engine vehicles need the purge solenoid vacuum hose and electrical connector to be disconnected. Using a suitable flat bladed instrument, detach the mounting clip and lift the solenoid from the battery tray, then open the Totally Integrated Power Module cover. After removing the TIPM positive cable retaining nut, take the cable off from the mounting stud. Depress the four clips on the blades with your tool to release and remove the TIPM housing from its bracket mounting tabs. Remove all seven wire harnesses from the opening beneath the TIPM and bring the TIPM to a safe location outside the vehicle. Remove the TIPM bracket retaining screws and gently slide the bracket toward the rear so that the tabs come loose, then take out the bracket from the battery tray. Next, with the three left inner fender nuts out, raise the battery tray out of the engine compartment and take the tray from your car.
