Join the power steering lines to the rack and pinion and fix each tube nut firmly so that it turns 27 Nm (20 ft.lbs.). Connect the lower coupler pinch bolt and place the coupler on the rack and pinion, turning the bolt until it reaches 53 Nm (39 ft.lbs.). Fasten the tie rod end to the knuckle and snug the nuts at 41 Nm (30 ft.lbs.) with another 90° turn. After that, put in the new tire and wheel and if the system comes with one, attach the skid plate. Drop the vehicle and support once the jack is removed, after which it's safe to unlock the steering wheel. After adding power steering fluid, reset the toe when the steering wheel is in the middle position.
