2010 Jeep Liberty Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Prepare a Radiator Installation to Prevent Overheating on 2010 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before installing the radiator, attach the rubber air seals at the top, bottom and sides to stop the unit from becoming too hot. Lightly bring down the radiator and the fan shroud into the car, guiding both radiator dowels into the rubber grommets at the bottom of the radiator crossmember. Twist the hoses onto the radiator and use the hose clamps to make sure the end clips are facing straight down. Attach the radiator bolts and attach the fan again to the wires. Place the grille in position and, on models that have it, set the viscous cooling fan back onto the engine. With the fan off, move each blade a few times to make sure there isn't any contact with the fan shroud. KA and KK vehicles must be fitted with the combination coolant recovery/washer fluid reservoir assembly. Fit the coolant reserve/overflow tank hose to the radiator, top off the cooling system and attach the negative battery cable. Get the engine going, then look for possible leaks.
