2010 Jeep Wrangler Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Dimmer Switch for Headlamps on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before starting on the headlamp dimmer switch, first cut off the Supplemental Restraint System by unhooking the negative battery cable, waiting two minutes and then isolating the battery terminal. Remove both the shroud that sits on top of the steering column and the one below it. After that, take out the instrument panel wire harness connector from the left multi-function switch found at the back. Take out the screw that holds the left multi-function switch onto the mounting bracket of the left Clock Spring side. Move the switch in the opposite direction from the Clock Spring to remove the slide tabs from the mounting bracket. After that, snap off the jumper wire harness from the left multi-function switch after it has been disconnected from the inboard end and then pull the switch out of the Clock Spring.
