2009 Jeep Wrangler Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Dimmer Switch for Fog/Driving Lamps on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To start servicing or repairing the fog/driving lamp switch, first remove the negative cable from the battery, separate it and isolate it and wait for two minutes so the SRS capacitor discharges. Both upper and lower shrouds on the steering column must be taken off first. After that, remove the connector for the instrument panel wire harness from the left multi-function switch. Remove the screw holding the left multi-function switch to the left side of the Clock Spring. Slide the switch toward the end of the case to take the slide tabs out of the bracket. Remove the jumper wire harness connector from the inboard end on the left multi-function switch and then remove the switch from the Clock Spring.
