How to Install a Dimmer Switch for Multi-Function Use on Jeep Wrangler?

Disable the SRS first by disconnecting the negative battery cable, remove the switch and wait two minutes before installing it with the SRS powered off. Put the left multi-function switch next to the mounting bracket that is part of the left Clock Spring and then link the jumper wire harness connector to the connector at the front of the switch housing. Place the slide tabs on each tab housing over the channel marks on the Clock Spring mounting and then slide the switch into the mounting hole until it sits solidly in place. Install the mounting tab from the left multi-function switch to the Clock Spring mount by tightening its mounting screw until its torque reaches 1 Nm or 10 in. lbs. Connect the instrument panel wire harness to the back of the switch housing, set the upper and lower shrouds on the steering column and attach the negative battery cable to its position.
