Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2010 Jeep Wrangler?
A: First, use a diagnostic scan tool to record any previous issues recorded as DTC's. Check the throttle body shaft while the ignition key is in the OFF position, because having the key ON may cause DTC's. First, loosen and remove the bad battery cable and afterward take out the throttle body air intake tube. After that, disconnect the electric wire to the throttle body and then remove the four screws that hold it in place. Be sure to remove the throttle body from the intake manifold. Check the intake manifold to throttle body gasket for any damage and examine the j-nuts for wear. If you find either to be damaged, get them replaced.
