    Before taking out the instrument panel ashtray, remove and isolate the negative battery cable. Following that, separate the gear shift center bezel from the floor console. Engage the emergency brake and put the gear shift lever into the Low setting. Pull out the ashtray using the trim stick C-4755 from the instrument panel, after unsnapping the retainer. Should they be available, unhook the wire harness connectors from the heated seat switches and pull out the switches as needed. You may also have to unplug the wire harness connector from the lighter and remove the accessory assembly too. The last step is to remove the ashtray.
