  First lift the car and secure it so that the axle is visible, then take off the four wheel mounting nuts and the wheel and tire assembly. Have someone press down once again on the brake to hold the wheel steady, then remove the hub nut sitting on the half shaft. Should you require it, push back the caliper piston a small amount to allow removal of the caliper by pulling firmly on the rear of it without pushing down its piston. Then, unbolt the disc brake caliper adapter from the knuckle and lift the caliper and adapter combo and hang it carefully so it doesn't tug on the brake hose. Take out any retaining bits that hold the brake rotor on the studs; then take the rotor off the hub and bearing. Turn each hub and bearing mounting bolt a bit while also pulling the hub and bearing together, but do not allow them to touch the half shaft outer joint. Make sure the isolation washer is there and still in good shape at the end of the half shaft before you install the new hub and bearing. Assemble the hub and bearing by fitting through the rear of the knuckle and parking brake support, holding back the brake support with the hub and bearing bolts, then slide everything onto the half shaft and straighten it with the knuckle. Tighten the four bolts which connect the hub and the bearing, so that they have 68 Nm torque. Before mounting the brake rotor to the hub, examine the disc Brake Pads and Parking Brake Shoes. Put the disc brake caliper and adapter over the rotor, then fasten the caliper adapter to the knuckle using the provided bolts tightened to 95 Nm torque. Attach the hub nut to the end of the half shaft and, with a helper braking, set its torque to 213 Nm. Inspect and adjust the parking brake shoes, if needed. After that, put back the tire and wheel assembly, tightening the nuts on the wheel mounts to 150 Nm and then lower the car. Pump the brake pedal several times to check that it's firm, then look at and adjust the brake fluid level as necessary. Test drive your vehicle on the road and pull over a few times to let the brakes wear away any undesired materials and make sure the brake pads are seated.

  Before working on the wheel bearing in the rear suspension, raise the car, put it on supports and take off both the wheel mounting nuts and the tire and wheel assembly. If an assisting hand holds the brake, you can remove the hub nut from the half shaft. If it's helpful, release a little bit of pressure from the caliper piston to let the caliper come free when you pull the rear of the caliper. After that, unscrew the bolts securing the caliper and adapter to the knuckle and lift them off together, being careful to keep the hose from stretching. Separate any ties still holding the brake rotor to the nuts on the wheel and shift the rotor off its space in the hub and bearing. Release each bolt locking the hub and bearing to the knuckle while pulling outward to protect the outer ball joint, then draw them off the half shaft and knuckle. For SRT8 brake work, do all the previous steps but use a trim stick to gently push the pistons into the caliper bores so they do not harm the brakes on the vehicle. Slide the transmission jack under the spring link to access and remove the bolts holding the caliper and then take out the caliper and rotor exactly as before. As you install the new hub and bearing, be sure the isolation washer is correctly fixed and unbroken, sit the hub and bearing on the half shaft, mount the bolts and tighten them in line with the manufacturer's instructions. Place the rotor and caliper in place, use a wrench to tighten the mounting bolts for the caliper and check the parking brake is correctly adjusted. Before finishing, reassemble the tire and wheel and bring the car down to ground level. Test by pressing the brake pedal gently, add enough brake fluid and check the operation during a drive.
