The first step is to remove the negative battery cable and then raise and support the vehicle before changing the Oxygen Sensor 1/1 Upstream. Take off the electrical connector from the sensor and use a SenSnap Oxygen Sensor Wrench, Snap-On YA8875 or an alternative, to remove the sensor. Tap the throttle body exhaust threads using an 18 mm X 1.5 + 6E tap after the removal. If the sensor is being used again, cover the sensor threads with Loctite 771-64 or a similar anti-seize compound; new devices come coated and don't require more greasing. Set the sensor's tightness to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.), attach the electrical connector to the sensor, lower the vehicle and then reconnect the battery's negative cable.
