How to Service and Repair a Knock Sensor in a 2.7L Engine on Chrysler 300?

Before servicing or repairing the 2.7L knock sensor, screw it into the cylinder block under the intake manifold, making sure the torque is at 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.) as otherwise, it may affect engine performance and could cause problems with spark control. After that, link the electrical connector to the knock sensor, followed by adding the passenger side cylinder head and the intake manifold. In the end, link the negative battery wire to the outside of the ignition coil.

How is a Knock Sensor Installed on an Engine Block on Chrysler Crossfire?

After mounting the knock sensors on the engine, secure them with retaining bolts that should be tightened to 20 Nm (about 15 ft. lbs.), in order to avoid jeopardizing the driveability. Secure the sensors and then hook up the wire harness connectors before adding on the intake manifold.
