The EGR tube is installed beneath the intake manifold plenum, right next to the
Throttle Body. Let's begin with taking off the negative
Battery Cable and getting rid of the air inlet tube and resonator. After that, undo the mounting clips at the EGR tube on the intake manifold, remove the bolts and nuts under the transmission to throttle body bracket and detach the bracket from its studs. After unfastening the screws from the EGR mount, make sure the rubber seals don't fall into the intake manifold while you remove the EGR upper tube assembly. Keep the gasket surfaces in the
EGR Valve free from foreign material, because some pollution can often result in a leaky valve and a rough idle. Lay the rubber silicone seals on the end of the EGR tube on the intake manifold so that they are properly mounted and not harmed. Use a fresh gasket, slightly lower the EGR tube onto the intake manifold and connect it loosely to the EGR valve. Use a torque wrench and tighten the EGR tube to EGR valve screws until you feel 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) of force, then clip the EGR tube to the intake manifold plenum. Next, join the transmission to the throttle body bracket, then guide the air inlet tube and resonator into place, before reconnecting the car battery's negative lead.
