Chrysler LHS Canister Purge Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Install and Remove a Canister Purge Valve on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
The mounting place for the Canister Purge Valve, Proportional Purge Solenoid Valve, is by brackets close to the air cleaner; it must be installed properly for best function. First, unplug the valve's electrical wires and disconnect any vacuum hoses and then you can take out the valve from its bracket. When installing, set the valve so that the TOP label is facing upwards. Set the valve into the bracket, secure the vacuum tube to the motor and make sure the electrical connector is connected to the valve.
