Change the engine oil at the given mileage or schedule, avoiding contact with either new or used oil for a prolonged time. Again, this can be harmful to your health because the oil from a car's engine is contaminated by burnt debris. Never use gasoline, diesel fuel, thinner or solvents to clean your skin, since this can cause health risks. You can take your used engine oil to a collection center which you can find by contacting a dealer or government agency. When shifting the vehicle's engine oil, let the vehicle run till its temperature is normal, move it to a flat surface and then turn it off. Once the car is supported on safety stands, take off the oil fill cap and install a good drain pan under the crankcase drain. Unscrew the
Drain Plug from the crankcase so the oil can drain, then look for any threads damage and replace the drain plug and gasket if something needs replacing. Let the fresh oil flow by removing the old oil, swapping out the filter with a new one and reinstalling the crankcase drain plug. Lower the car and put in the correct type and amount of engine oil, before installing the oil fill cap. After starting the engine, look for any leaks and, after you are done, check the oil level. Equipped with a new, full-flow, disposable filter, all engines call for using a Mopar filter or another matching filter when it is replaced. Be careful when handling and getting rid of your old engine oil.
