Reach your hand into the assembly and press the ball socket onto the ball stud until you hear the retainer clip pop. After that, place the ball socket from the rod end of the support cylinder over the ball stud attached to the lower deck lid bracket. As before, use your hands to push the ball socket onto the ball stud and wait till the retainer clamp fits into place. Check the retaining clip in each ball socket at the support cylinder end after you have installed the system. After that, take away the service prop or block and close the deck lid.
