To put on the muffler, fix the front exhaust clamp on the assembly, then fix the assembly onto the front catalytic converters. Set up the isolators so they face about 10° ahead of you as you sit on your seat. Be sure to connect the LH rear resonator and tailpipe assembly to your 5.7L/6.1L engine, make sure everything is in place and finally tighten the clamps using a torque wrench. Use a torque wrench to tighten the clamps on the band to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.) and then add the tunnel reinforcement and bolt the nuts onto them, tightening them to 25 Nm (215 in. lbs.). Make sure there is enough room between the muffler and resonator on the fuel tank; there should be 14mm (.55 in.) for the V8 and 16mm (.62 in.) for the V6. Make sure there is between 15mm and 20mm of clearance at the rear tunnel reinforcement. Make sure the tailpipe is placed in the center of the rear fascia hole and fix its clearance if necessary. Lowering the vehicle, starting it up and looking for exhaust leaks enables you to fix any you find as needed.

Line up the muffler's section in the rubber exhaust hangers, fasten the central bolts on the exhaust flange to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.), then attach the ground strap between the muffler and tail pipe and screw the bolt on the ground strap firmly enough. As soon as the support is gone, lower the car and put the rear support bracket back on, if it's part of the system. Install the SRT models in the same way, checking that everything is well connected.
