Chrysler Pacifica Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Blower Motor Under the Passenger Side Instrument Panel on Chrysler Pacifica?
    A:
Start by pulling out and isolating the negative battery cable to temporarily disable the air bag system, wait for two minutes for everything to clear and then work on the blower motor for the passenger side. First, take out the trim from the passenger side cowl and place the carpet aside to reach the front upper air inlet housing. Separate the wire from the inside of the recirculation door actuator and take the actuator out of the car. Following that, remove the wire lead connector from the Blower Motor Resistor or power module. Unscrew the air inlet housing closest to the rear and then remove the four lower inlet housing screws connecting it to the upper air inlet housing and lower HVAC housing. Route the rubber seal through the opening in the lower air inlet housing, pass the blower motor lead and connector through the same opening and remove the housing from the vehicle. Open the recirculation-air door enough to be able to get in and undo the screws around the edges of the blower motor. With care, close the recirculation-air door and move it down to release the blower motor from the HVAC housing while noting the blower motor mounting tabs first, then rotate and tilt the motor to get it out.
