The Chrysler Pacifica Heater Core is a climatic control equipment that is highly acclaimed and effective in so many pacifica models. This Heater Core plays the role of circulating heat produced by the engine to the car interior and therefore making the driving experience comfortable and warm especially when in a colder region. Made of aluminum or brass, the Heater Core has fins to help with heat transfer; a fan blows hot air through the Pacifica. Furthermore, its design features a number of elements meant to optimize the temperature, these include valves and the electromechanical actuators that are utilized in controlling the climate of the aircraft's internal compartments and even offering the passengers a dual climate system. Thus, if it is considered that the Heater Core is significant only because of comfort that it provides, the role of this component in improving the efficiency and safety of the Chrysler Pacifica, including participation in engine cooling, must also be borne in mind. Such problems as clogging or leakage may occur, however, the Heater Core design is made extremely resistant and will not bring problems for a long time. Chrysler Pacifica has gained reputation in the market and has been awarded highly and Heater Core is in the same series of crafted quality. Based on this, the Chrysler Pacifica Heater Core can be identified as the model's great feature, and, given its compatibility with most of the Pacifica models, it plays a major role in the car's success and high quality.

Chrysler Pacifica Heater Core Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace a Heater Core on Chrysler Pacifica?
    A:
Before you replace the heater core, first cut the negative connection in the battery to disable the air bag system and after two minutes the air bag's capacitor will discharge. Lift off the lower Steering Shaft silencer boot fasteners at the dash panel to clear the way and then pull the brake lamp switch loose from its holder. Take off the brake pedal rod from the power brake booster and, if there is a power pedal function, detach the entire assembly for adjustable pedals. Keep toweling close by in case any engine coolant drips below the heater core onto the carpet and absorb any spills. Take out the heater core tubes and unscrew the two plates holding the heater core plate to the HVAC air pipe system. If your car lacks power adjustable pedals, raise the accelerator and push the brake pedal down to give you space to take out the heater core from the air distribution housing. Use care to take out the heater core from the edge of the air distribution housing. If not using power adjustable pedals, once again lift the accelerator and press the brake to ensure there's enough room to install the heater core into the HVAC air distribution housing, then push it into the side of the housing. Join the heater core to its position with the two screws, tightened to 2 Nm (17 in lbs) and return the heater core tubes to place. If you have adjustable pedals, put them in place and tie the end of the brake booster rod to the pin found on the brake pedal arm. Set up a new brake lamp switch, hook the silencer boot back over the lower steering shaft base on the dash and reattach the negative battery lead to its post. Whenever the heater core is being changed, flush the engine cooling system and refill it as well.
  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Heater Core on Chrysler Pacifica?
    A:
Begin by turning down the air bag system by removing and separating the battery negative cable, then stand by for two minutes while the air bag capacitor empties its charge. For your own safety and to avoid death, you should follow every warning and caution listed on the item. The heater core tubes require no specific service and should never be moved, loosened or removed from the heater core. Unattach the black Battery Cable first. Take off the HVAC housing from your vehicle and set it on a workbench after that. El ieve the foam seal from the heater core tubes and the flange that is at the front of the HVAC housing. If you see a plastic strap, remove it where the heater core tubes connect to the flange. Following that, extract the two screws connecting the heater core retaining bracket to the air circulation box on the driver side and detach the bracket. Once the flange is done, gently lift the heater core away by disconnecting the tubes from them as it is pulled out of the side of the air distribution housing.
