Chrysler Prowler Air Bag Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain the Air Bag Control Module on Chrysler Prowler?
    A:
Before you start, disconnect and isolate the negative terminal of the battery. First, fold down the carpet over the front tunnel/floor pan to reach the ACM and remove the four attaching nuts. Then take the ACM out from the side of the vehicle closest to the passenger side. If you can't remove the module because the harness is too small, disconnect the radio and untangle the wire harness clip. After that, separate the ACM wire connectors from the car. After connecting the ACM wire harness connector, fix the ACM in the console floor bracket, so the arrow points forward, add the screws and tighten them to 11 to 14 Nm (105 to 125 in. lbs.). With the radio gone, set it up again, thread the wire harness and slide the carpet into place. You should not connect the negative Battery Cable until the air bag system has been checked and checked.
