The Chrysler Prowler Camshaft Position Sensor is considered as one of the vital parts that are known for their great quality and efficiency for Chrysler Prowler cars. This sensor pays close attention to the position and the rate of turn of the camshaft and relay this important information to the ECOM, which controls the fuel/air package mix and the timing of the ignition. The Chrysler Prowler Camshaft Position Sensor works effectively in calibrating the exact time the camshaft and crankshaft should switch their positions, and this makes the cars' engines run more efficiently and safely, particularly where variable valve timing is involved. This-tool compatibility with different models of Chrysler Prowler makes it an important facet of Chrysler Prowler. It is necessary to give correct values, which helps to keep the engine at the maximum level of performance; that is why the sensor is installed above the camshaft. Also, much like other car parts, the Chrysler Prowler Camshaft Position Sensor is built to be as durable as possible to suit the automotive field. No one can underestimate the function of avoiding the deterioration of performance due to the failure of the sensor, as the failed sensor may result in serious problems to the engine. The bodywork of Chrysler Prowler is gracefully designed for a powerful sports utility vehicle while the Camshaft Position Sensor is technically more efficient and safe for use. The Chrysler Prowler Camshaft Position Sensor embraces both the new ideas in engineering and effective performance; thus, it remains one of the important components for any car lover interested in Chrysler Prowler.

Chrysler Prowler Camshaft Position Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install a Camshaft Position Sensor in the Timing Belt Housing Cover on Chrysler Prowler?
    A:
Above the left camshaft sprocket on the timing belt housing cover is where you'll find the camshaft position sensor. You should remove the upper intake plenum after taking out the negative Battery Cable. Onto the next step: Cut off the sensor's power by disengaging the connector and then take out the screw holding it in before you pull the sensor out of the cover. If you are reusing the sensor, take off the old spacer, clean the sensor face and attach a new one during installation. Be sure to place the paper spacer on the face of the sensor as you install it. Place the sensor in the timing belt housing and press it down against the camshaft sprocket, then while holding it, tighten the retaining bolt to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) torque. Attach the wiring connector to the sensor, put the upper intake plenum back in place and then tie the negative battery cable to its post.
