Open the vehicle wire connector at the brake fluid level switch found in the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir. On both types of engines, remove the two nuts keeping the power distribution center and mounting bracket fixed, then lift and move the unit to the driver side. Wipe around the attachment spots of the brake tubes to the ICU hydraulic control unit with a suitable brake cleaner. Remove the primary and secondary brake tubes from the master cylinder on the HCU and then disconnect the left front chassis brake tube. For a Right-Hand Drive vehicle, first, remove the main and secondary Brake Lines from the master cylinder at the HCU, then break the left front chassis brake line from the HCU. After that, separate the right front, left rear and right rear chassis brake lines from the HCU. Press both of the tabs on the connector cover and pull the lower part outward so that it clicks into place and then you can pull the ABM connector from the ABM. Support the car, raise it a little and securely remove the two rear screws connecting the ICU mounting bracket to the body. Drop the vehicle and remove the front screw that holds the ICU mounting bracket to the body. Then, lift the ICU and ICU bracket from your vehicle and to separate the ABM from the HCU, follow the instructions for disassembling the integrated control unit.

With LHD cars, fit the left front chassis brake line to the HCU and turn the nut until there are 17 Nm (145 in. lbs.) of tension, then tie in both the primary and secondary lines from the master cylinder to the HCU, also turning the tube nuts to 17 Nm (145 in. lbs.). Start with the left front chassis tube at the HCU, ensuring you tighten the tube nut to 17 Nm (145 in. lb.), then perform the same process for the master cylinder's primary and secondary tubes at the HCU, again using 17 Nm (145 in. lbs.). After removing the center and bracket from the spark plugs in both engines, reattach them and screw the two bolts back in. Connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level switch, attach the battery and set the air cleaner housing inside the housing. Bring the scan tool to the vehicle to start the ABM, clear any errors, make sure the master cylinder is full, bleed the base and ABS hydraulics and complete the ABS Verification Test after a road test of the car.
