Begin the service for the recirculation door actuator by unplugging the negative
Battery Cable, waiting two minutes for the air bag capacitor to drain and only then disconnecting the rest of the air bag cables. You should take out the passenger side instrument silencer, the glove box bin and the floor center console first. Remove the screw on the right floor distribution duct, separate it from the HVAC air distribution housing outlet and then take it away from the right rear floor duct. Set the floor distribution duct to one side and remove the screws connecting the recirculation door actuator to the left of the HVAC air inlet housing. Take away the recirculation door actuator and remove the wire harness connector. For installing, insert the recirculation door actuator into the vehicle and securely fix it to the left side of the inlet housing. Make sure the actuator's lever pin is in line with the groove in the recirculation door lever. Screw the actuator into the air inlet assembly, secure them with 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.) and join the wire harness connector to the actuator. Next, hook up the right floor distribution duct to each component and fasten a screw from the right rear floor duct to the side HVAC housing outlet, tightening the screw to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). Once done, restore the floor center console, glove box and passenger side instrument panel silencer before you finish the battery connection.
