You'll find the idle air control motor fixed on the side of the
Throttle Body. First, uncover the air cleaner box, pull out the inlet air temperature sensor and take the makeup air hose off. After that, remove the negative
Battery Cable and electrical connector from the idle air control motor. Unscrew the mounting bolts and pull the idle air control motor out, so that the O-ring also comes off with it. As part of installation, a new O-ring is provided with the idle air control motor. If the pintle is longer than 25 mm, the DRB AIS Motor Open/Close Test must be used with the battery connected to draw it in. Place the sedentary air control motor at the bottom of the throttle body and attach it with its mounting screws, gripped securely by tightening each to 6.2 Nm (55 in. lbs.) torque. Join the electrical links back to the idling motor, return the negative cable to the battery, place the air cleaner lid and lastly install the inlet temperature sensor on the air cleaner lid and the makeup hose.
