Start by fastening the
Timing Belt cover with bolts tightened to 6 Nm (50 in.lbs). After that, secure the upper torque strut. For cars with turbochargers, join the air conditioning lines at the junction block next to the upper timing belt cover and add refrigerant to the air conditioner. Adjust the torque strut according to the vehicle's manual instructions. For the lower timing belt cover, put it on and tighten its bolts to 6 Nm (50 in.lbs), put the right engine support bracket on, place the
Power Steering Pump where needed and set the mount bracket bolts to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs). Place the engine in position and insert and tighten the right engine mount through bolt to 87 ft. lbs. Put in the power steering pump, bracket, upper radiator support panel and torque strut bracket to the strut tower and attach the ground strap and upper torque strut next. After lifting the vehicle, link the exhaust system to the manifold and then attach the A/C pressure switch connector. Slot the crankshaft damper into place, fit the accessory
Drive Belts after that and adjust the torque strut. After that, add the correct splash guard, front wheel and hook the negative cable to your battery. After that, join the rear cover and fasten the bolts to their proper torque, as indicated. Then attach the timing belt idler pulley, setting its bolts to 61 Nm (45 ft.lbs). Never use an impact wrench on the camshaft sprocket bolts so as not to damage the camshaft-to-sprocket dowel pin. Instead, put the sprockets in place with Special Tool 6847 and tighten the middle bolt to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs). Complete this stage by installing the timing belt and both front covers for the timing belt.
