Then unplug the posi-lock harness connectors at the back of the multi-function switch. Unscrew the mounting screws of the multi-function switch and remove the switch from the vehicle. When you replace the multi-function switch be sure to transfer the combination flasher and windshield wiper/washer switch to the new multi-function switch. Remove the two torx screws that hold the wiper/washer switch and install them on the new switch. The new switch should be put in position and secured with the mounting screws, torque the multi-function switch to column retaining screws to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs). The multi-function switch's rear posi-lock harness connectors, upper and lower steering column shrouds, and battery negative cable should all be reconnected. Lastly, close the hood and check the operation of the car and the system.
