How to service and repair a Shift Indicator on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Both the gear shift knob and the floor console need to be removed before working on the shift indicator. Unplug the socket from the range indicator and remove the bulb after that. First, push the new bulb into the socket, make sure the socket is attached, place the floor console back into position and finally set the gear shift knob.

How to service and repair a Shift Indicator on Chrysler Sebring?

The first step in servicing and repairing the shift indicator is to remove the gear shift knob. Use Special Tool C-4755 and the plastic trim stick to lift the forward or rear edge of the transmission range indicator bezel from the floor console. Gently lift the transmission range indicator bezel up, so the tabs clear the rear floor console bezel and then unplug the wire connector to the lamp assembly. Get rid of the transmission range indicator bezel and lamp assembly inside the car. The bezel and lamp assembly go back in the vehicle, with the wire connector attached to the assembly. Connect the tabs on the transmission range indicator around the edge of the transmission bezel to the slots in the rear floor console bezel and lower the indicator toward the floor console to hold it in place.
