For installing the
Camshaft oil seal, set it in the proper cylinder head and use MD-998306 to force it home. Brush a little engine oil across the camshaft oil seal edge as well as the Special Tool 6788 Seal Protector Sleeve before installing the sleeve on the camshaft. Push the camshaft forward and insert the seal protector through the camshaft seal and once it's in place and touching the engine, remove Special Tool 6788. After that, set the camshaft thrust plate onto the cylinder head at the rear, using a new gasket and then proceed to set the camshaft sprocket and
Timing Belt. Repeat the same steps for the left cylinder head: ensur the seal is in place, tap it with MD-998306 and grease the lip of the seal and the tappet sleeve using engine oil. Set the sleeve onto the camshaft, push it forwgard until it's seated and take it off. place the camshaft thrust plate on the engine with a fresh gasket, then the rear timing belt cover, make sure the camshaft gear matches the timing marks and set the timing belt. After that, install the
Rocker Arm assembly, cylinder head cover, front timing belt cover and vibration damper. After that, finish by adding coolant and linking the negative battery cable.
