Chrysler Town & Country Fuel Door Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain the Fuel Door on Chrysler Town & Country?
    A:
Before servicing the fuel door, first take away the left quarter trim and the water shield patch from the access point in the C-pillar. Take the latch release link out of its clip on the fuel blocker latch arm and then lift the fuel door. Remove the screws that attach the fuel neck to the main body and lay the fuel neck somewhere convenient. Get inside the fuel filler housing and pop the clips out, then take the door out from your vehicle. Untie the clip holding the link to the fuel door and get rid of the link. Attach the spring to the housing and door first and afterwards snap the door shut into the housing. Pull the end of the lockout link through the fuel door clip and then push the clip to grab and secure it. Start by routing the lockout link under the car through the panel's grommet, then complete by shutting the fuel door. Secure the fuel filler housing to the outer quarter panel carefully, being sure that all clips are in place. Secure the fuel tip into position with the help of the screws. Attach the latch release link to the clip at the fuel blocker handle's arm and test that the handle moves. Coordinate with a dealer to put back the water shield patch over the opening in the C-pillar and also the left trim panel.
