First, ensure that the new hold open latch cable is the same as the one you took out. Mount the hold open latch cable on the door module and tie it to the latch assembly by sliding the swedged part onto the latch link and pressing the cable sleeve retainer into the latch bracket. Follow the outline of the cable for the outside door handle, fasten it to the clips and insert the foam insulators using the earlier schematic or by taking out the opposite door trim panel. Be sure the cable is routed as it should be and secured correctly and that the foam insulators are where they belong. Following installation of the door module, connect the hold open latch cable to the hold open latch assembly in a way that is similar to what you did before. After that, fit the new side door trim on the vehicle and attach the negative battery cable.
