Chrysler Town & Country Yaw Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Yaw Sensor and Complete the Necessary Steps on Chrysler Town & Country?
    A:
Mount the dynamics sensor on the bracket so the arrow points to the front and the connector is on the passenger side. Connect the sensor using two mounting screws and tighten them up to 9 Nm or 80 in. lbs. Connect the wiring harness connector to the dynamics sensor. After that, slide in the chosen intermediate floor distribution duct, then fasten the instrument panel center support brackets and the related screws, making sure each bracket is placed on one side of the tunnel. Carpet the front floor area and add the instrument panel center stack console last. On the last step, connect the negative battery cable to its post, run the Diagnostic Verification Test and remove any faults.
  • Q: How to Service a Yaw Sensor on Chrysler Town & Country?
    A:
Begin the Yaw Rate Sensor service by first disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable from its post. Then, pull off the instrument panel center stack console and take the front floor carpet back toward the rear of the vehicle so you can see what's underneath. Free both of the center support brackets and their fasteners which are on each side of the tunnel structure. Withdraw the right floor distribution duct from the floor support stud and move it away so you can see the dynamics sensor. Unplug the wiring harness connector at the dynamics sensor and take out the screws managing the dynamics sensor to its mounting place on the floor pan tunnel. Remove the last part: the dynamics sensor.
