How to Safely Detach a Wheel Cover on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before removing the wheel cover, raise and hold up your car until the wheels and tires can move freely. Never try to pry the wheel cover off, because it attaches to the wheel through the wheel mounting nuts. After that, unscrew the five wheel nuts while securing the wheel cover, so it doesn't fall down as you remove the last nut. After that, take off the wheel cover while making sure the tire and wheel don't slip off the car.

How to Easily Remove and Install a Wheel Cover on Chrysler Town & Country?

Make sure you spot the valve stem as you remove the three wheel nuts that secure the wheel cover to the wheel and hub. Never try to pry off the wheel cover; instead, take hold of the wheel cover by the edges next to the remaining wheel nuts and pull straight outwards to break the retaining tabs on those two remaining wheel nuts. When installing, make sure the wheel mounting nuts are on the studs so the wheel cover's positioning becomes easier. Make sure the valve stem on the wheel is centered with the valve notch of the wheel cover before aligning the two holes in the wheel cover with the made assemblage of wheel nuts. Press on the central part of the wheel cover to guarantee the tabs lock onto the back ends of the wheel mounting nuts after installation. After that, position and lightly tighten the rest of the wheel mounting nuts and gradually tighten all five to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.) in the order listed.
