The first step is to take out any tape or plugs that block the fittings of the evaporator tube and the expansion valve ports. Lubricate your new dual plane seal with clean R-134a oil and ensure it fits the proper evaporator tube fittings made for this unit and oil type. Following that, fit the A/C expansion valve onto the evaporator tube tapping block and fasten it with two bolts, getting the tightness to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.). Unscrew old tape from the suction and the liquid line fittings, add a drop of lubricant to the new dual plane seals and put them on. Bring together the suction line and the liquid line and add a nut to the A/C expansion valve. Tighten the nut on the valve to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Place the refrigerant line mounting bracket on the left front shock tower and attach it with a bolt secured to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.). Secure the wire harness to the system's A/C pressure sensor and then reattach the negative battery cable. Remove all the refrigerant from the system, check and change the oil level and fill in refrigerant as required.
