The first step to servicing the Air Bag Control Module is to cut off and isolate the negative battery cable. After rescue, wait at least two minutes for the air bag capacitor to drain, to make sure the air bags won't explode and injure you. After that, take out the center floor console. Remove both of the electrical connections from the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC). Shimmy the shock-absorbing material aside and next remove the three screws securing the ORC at the mounting points in the vehicle.
