First, discharge the pressure from the fuel system before taking out the fuel rail because the line is pressurized all the time, even when not in use. Be sure not to separate the three-piece left and right rail assembly at the tube that holds them together, as the tube is not designed for any clamps; clamping it will damage the rails. First, eliminate the fuel tank filler tube cap and then perform the Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure. Take the negative
Battery Cable out at the battery, take the electrical connector off the
MAP Sensor behind the
Intake Manifold and disconnect the vacuum line from the placeholder at the rear intake. After this, remove the connector from the fuel rail fitting and loosen each injector electrical connector. Unscrew the four bolts that hold the fuel rail in place and gently wobble and lift the left side of the fuel rail until you feel the
Fuel Injectors begin to come out of their holes. After that, gently rock and pull the right side of the fuel rail until all injectors are no longer stuck in the holes. Once done, take out the fuel rail with its attached injectors from inside the engine.
