Mount the hood latch about 20 centimeters in front of the headlamp mount to allow you to engage the ball end of the hood latch release cable to the latch handle and thread the cable housing to the latch. After that, slide the latch forward on the crossmember, position it correctly and then fasten the two screws making sure they are secure and tight at 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Position the latch properly so that the lock system works properly. After that, slide the cover for the right-hand appearance into place on the headlamp mounting crossmember and press it down with your hands until all the receptacles fit the integral clips. Set the left appearance cover's interlocking feature onto the inboard end of the right appearance cover and align them both to the headlamp mounting crossmember. Push the left panel down until each of the clip accessories snaps into its spot. After that, put the negative battery cable back on.
