A thrust washer set is just a two-match pair of high-precision washers that travel on either side of the thrust journal, restrict endplay and ensure timing gear and clutch alignment. To change the old Dodge Crankshaft Thrust Washer Set, drain oil, drop pan and take off thrust main cap. Wipe the crank surfaces clean and paste assembly lube on the new washers and slide them onto both sides of the journal groove side up. Reinstall a bearing shell and cap, install bolts to factory tight, and put a dial indicator on the snout to check endplay is correct. Once the numbers have been checked, seal the pan, re-oil the system, prime the system, and your renewed Dodge Crankshaft Thrust Washer Set will have the crank in the right place when the frenzied acceleration is required.
