Before changing the alternator, detach the negative battery cable to keep the electric system from getting harmed or damaged. Position the protective plastic cap on end of the generator B+ cable, add the generator (1) to the mounting bracket, secure it with both bolts and tighten them to 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.). Install the pulleys correctly, add the accessory drive belt, add the right air inlet tube and then link the negative battery cable back up.
