Remove the check strap from the door by pulling it through the hole for the speaker. For installation, place the strap over the door from inside to outside through the speaker hole and secure it by installing the nuts to the end of the door frame, tightening to 12 N.m (105 in.lbs.) Next, bolt the check strap to the A-pillar, install the door speaker if it's part of your car and then restore the front door trim.

Thereafter, take out the bolt from the check strap and, using an assistant, remove the bolts that connect it with the inner door under the check strap. Hold the check strap correctly as needed and attach a bolt to tie it to the top of the door end frame for installation. Attach the bolts to the inside door panel and use them to secure the check strap to the hinge pillar. Go on to fit the front door trim panel back into place.
