How to Maintain and Fix a Rear Door Window Regulator on Dodge Ram 1500?

First, take out the inner belt molding and the waterdam to service and repair the rear window regulator. Replace the manual window crank to raise the door glass to the right height. Then, undo the two nuts that hold the door glass to the window regulator through the speaker and sight window openings and remove the glass from the regulator connection. Remove the door glass from the bottom rail and position it up, holding it there with a wooden wedge or similar. Remove the regulator from the window and take out the two nuts that hold the stabilizer to the door. After that, remove the two bolts that hold the window regulator to the door and loosen the other two regulator bolts. Raise the window regulator to the top to separate the two bolts from the door, then Pull the regulator out of the opening in the door.

How to Install a Window Regulator in the Front Door on Dodge Charger?

The front door window regulator is fitted by inserting the regulator through the large access hole inside the door just at the back. Take a screw at the top end of the rear regulator rail and slot it in a keyed hole on the inner side of the door by the rear. Use the position of the front regulator rail in the door to ensure the door wire harness connector can reconnect in the regulator motor position within the hole on the inside of the door by the front positioned speaker mounting hole. Turn the screw at the head of the regulator rail in front over to meet the keystroke hole on the inside of the door in the vicinity of the front. Fix two of the screws which hold the bottom of the front regulator rail and regulator motor support bracket to the inside of the door and tighten to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). Tighten the two screws which hold the tops of the two regulator rails to the keyed holes on the inside of doer, also to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). After taking off the tape holding the door glass in its fully close up position, then open the glass till it catches the two glass clamps in the window regulators. With the regulator set lower than the glass, reach the two window regulator glass clamp screws at the bottom and tighten the screw of each of the glasses clamps to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.). With upper screw hand started into inside of the front door, the type of hole is keyed in the pull cup bracket, the screw is posed into the hole. Apply on screw which tightens the bottom of the pull cup bracket and the bottom of the window regulator rear rail into the inside of the front door to 11Nm (100 in. lbs.), followed by tightening the screw found to tighten the top of the pull cup bracket into the inside of front door to 10Nm (90 in. lbs.). Lastly, mount the watershield to the inside of the front door and the speaker and the trim panel are mounted on the inside of the front door.
