The first thing to do when servicing the radiator cooling fan motor is to eliminate the radiator upper crossmember. Then, break the radiator fan motor's electrical connection and remove all the fasteners and clips that attach the fan to the radiator. Move the radiator fan vertically so you can get to the radiator and take it off. For installation, put in the radiator fan and then set the mounting clips and fasteners. Insert the fan motor's connector followed by fitting the radiator upper crossmember.

Always check that the cooling system is cold and not pressurized before working on the radiator cooling fan motor to avoid being burnt by hot coolant. Begin by taking the negative battery cable off and removing all the coolant from the system down to the radiator upper hose. After that, unscrew the fan from the radiator and raise the fan shroud out of its lower brackets. Simply use the same steps you used when disassembling the engine to remove the radiator fan assembly sub-component. To install, put the radiator fan assembly in the clips below the lower radiator tank and hold it in place with retaining screws torqued to 7.5 Nm (65 inch lbs.). Plug the radiator fan back in and connect the radiator upper hose, making sure the clamp isn't blocking the engine or hood area. Lastly, fix the negative cable to the battery and put the cooling liquid into the system.
