Before removing the lower control arm, lift and support the vehicle. After that, unbolt the steering knuckle from the suspension. After that, remove the bolts attaching the power steering cooler to the front suspension cradle crossmember reinforcement. Afterwards, remove the bolts holding the rear bushings in the lower control arm from each side, remembering that the cradle crossmember reinforcement bolts are in three different thread sizes. With that done, remove the bolts connecting the cradle crossmember reinforcement to the front cradle crossmember and to the vehicle body and take out the reinforcement. After that, take out the pivot bolt joining the front bushing of the lower control arm to the front suspension cradle crossmember and then lift out the lower control arm.

How to Install the Front Lower Control Arm on Dodge Grand Caravan?

Set the lower control arm into the brackets on the suspension crossmember. Put in the front and rear mounting bolts together with the nut connecting the lower control arm and crossmember body, but don't tighten the front bolt yet. The rear mounting bolt nut should be tightened to 155 Nm (114 ft. lbs.). Sealing off the left side lower control arm for a 62TE (6-speed) automatic transaxle, be sure to bolt the front and rear engine mounts back in place. Install the steering knuckle, brake rotor and caliper after that. Following that, mount the wheel and the tire and close the wheel mounting nuts until they reach 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Lower the vehicle and put it on an alignment rack or drive-on hoist, while the hoist remains up enough so you can reach the bolts. While the car is at curb height, tighten the front lower control arm mounting bolt to 155 Nm (114 ft. lbs.) and do a wheel alignment.
