First, break the battery's negative connection, isolate it and then wait at least two minutes so the
Air Bag reserve capacitor can discharge. Always disconnect the battery negative cable before removing an air bag that hasn't deployed to avoid injury. After that, take out the air bag mounting screws, carry the air bag away from its support and disconnect both of the air bag squib, speed control and horn connectors before storing the bag. After that, take out the steering wheel retaining bolt and the damper. If you have a remote audio control switch, cut the wires from the
Clock Spring. Do not hit or bump on the steering column or shaft and screw the bolts of the steering wheel puller into the steering wheel less than a half inch to keep the Clock Spring safe. Pull the steering in the straight direction while holding the steering wheel with a steering wheel puller, remove the steering wheel and get rid of the puller. Remove the remote audio switches from the steering wheel by using the proper removal process.
