Dodge Grand Caravan Yaw Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Yaw Sensor on Dodge Grand Caravan?
    A:
Before servicing the Yaw Rate Sensor, take away and disconnect the battery negative cable from its battery post. After that, take out the instrument panel center stack console. Pull back the front carpet from below the instrument panel all the way to the back of the car to reach the components. Untighten and remove the two fasteners and each of the two instrument panel center support brackets found on the sides of the tunnel. Remove the right floor distribution duct from its stud and slide it aside to give you clear access to the dynamics sensor. Unplug the wire connecting the dynamics sensor from the wiring harness and then remove the screw holding the sensor on the floor. The last step is to take out the dynamics sensor.
  • Q: How to Install a Yaw Sensor and Complete the Associated Steps on Dodge Grand Caravan?
    A:
Line up the arrow on the sensor housing against the front of the car and connect the sensor so the connector is facing to the passenger side of the car. Install the sensor onto the vehicle by placing two mounting screws and tightening them to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.). Put the connector of the wiring harness onto the end of the dynamics sensor. Proceed by setting up the intermediate floor duct, then place the right-sized instrument panel center support brackets with their screws in each bracket holder that fits behind either side of the tunnel structure. Slide the carpet back into place on the floor pan in front and under where the instrument panel will be. After that, set in the instrument panel center stack console securely. Finally, link the negative battery cable to the battery post and do the Diagnostic Verification Test, removing any detectable faults.
