Bring the vehicle up into the air on jacks or support it on jackstands before switching the bushing. Take the lower
Control Arm and tension strut out from the vehicle as an assembly, then carefully separate these two. With Large Pivot Bushing 95208-21-09 inside Receiver, Special Tool Mb-990799, adjust the small end of the arm in the arbor press. Cover the lower portion of the steering knuckle with the pivot bushing and apply arbor press pressure to the Place Remover, Special Tool 6644-2 on top until the bush comes out. After you take out the bushing from the Receiver, throw it away. When making the assembly, turn the lower control arm on the arbor press and hold it using Receiver, Special Tool Mb-990799. After squaring the lower control arm and pivot, insert Special Tool 6644-1 on top of the bushing, making sure it sits in the recessed part. While holding the Installer, push the pivot bushing into the lower control arm until you reach the point that the Installer is even with the control arm's surface. Install the tension strut onto the bushing in the lower control arm, ensuring the word Front is away from the control arm. Grab the flat of the tension strut with an open-end wrench to hold it in place and tighten the new tension strut to bring the lower control retaining nut to a torque of 130 Nm (95 ft. lbs.). As the last step, put the lower control arm and tension strut onto the car where it was before.
