Before servicing the throttle body, take off the negative terminal from the battery and take out the air plenum from the throttle body. Hold the throttle lever so it is completely open and then take out the throttle, speed control and
Throttle Cable bracket cables from the arm. Step one, take off all the electrical cables from the throttle body. Then, get rid of the throttle body support bracket at the back. After that, remove the three bolts from the throttle body and take it out, be sure to clean the surfaces where it touched. Set the throttle body in place and firm it with the bolts, torquing each one to 11.9 N.m (105 in.lbs.) after positioning. Bolt the throttle body support bracket to the throat of the throttle and use a 27.1 N.m (20 ft.lbs.) torque wrench. After setting the throttle lever to the full-open position, join all cables and reconnect the bracket for the throttle, until the bolts are all tight. Next, attach the air plenum, tighten the clamp and lastly fasten the negative wire to the battery.
