Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post before opening the hood to reach the switch. After that, take out the tilt lever and both upper and lower shrouds from the steering column. After that, unscrew the switch's mounting screws and disconnect the wires from it. While you install, reverse what you did during removal and make sure the multi-function switch retaining screws are tightened to 17 in.lbs. (2 N.m).
