- Q: How to Install a Fuel Pump on Dodge Magnum?A:To Install the fuel pump module, put the pump module in the tank and hook up the fuel return lines to the module making sure the lines are attached well. Connect the fuel supply line to the module, locking it in place and then attach the electrical connectors off the bottom of the module top into the module bottom, then install the module top onto the module bottom. Place the marks on the module so the module can be properly oriented and use special tool #9340 to tighten the left side module lock ring to secure the module. Attach the electrical connector to the left side module and replace the plastic access cover folding foam pad to cover the access cover into place. Rear lower Seat Cushion is reinstalled and the fuel tank is filled. Lastly, attach the negative Battery Cable, refill the fuel tank and with the scan tool: pressurize the fuel system for leaks.
- Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Pump on Dodge Magnum?A:Before servicing or fixing the fuel gauge sender, relax the fuel pressure with the procedure and detach the negative Battery Cable. Empty the tank below 5/8 to stop any fuel spills when removing the module lock-ring. Open the check valve by draining partial gas from the tank with a hard nylon tube that's been cut to 30" length. Pull the bottom of the rear lower Seat Cushion back and up, then fold the foam covering the access hatch up to see it. Unplug the left side module's electrical connector and mark how the module is positioned. Use tool #9340 to take off the left side module lock ring, then raise the module to drain the left tank, see that no fuel gets into the car by accident. Remove the connectors from the top of the module and then take out the top half of the device. You will find a fuel level sending card, fuel return lines and fuel supply line within the module. First, press in the release tab and then pull up on the fuel line. After the battery is removed, take out the fuel line and fuel return line from the lower module. With the return line taken out, turn the module upside down so any remaining fuel can drain from the reservoir before you remove it from the car.
