How to Service an Air Bag Control Module on Dodge Neon?

Before servicing the air bag Control Module, first disconnect and isolate the battery's negative cable. Next, proceed by removing the center console. Subsequently, unscrew the module mounting nuts and pull the module out, afterward disconnect the ACM 23-way connector and detach the ACM from the vehicle. When installing the module, mate the ACM connector and make certain that both the connector and its locking tabs are securely engaged before tightening the nuts alone using the supplied hardware. Align the ACM so that its arrow faces forward in the console floor bracket, install and tighten the nuts to a torque range of 9.6-14 Nm (85-125 in. lbs.). Once final, the center console assembly should be installed. One should not reconnect the battery negative cable until the air bag system has been thoroughly diagnosed and tested.
