How to Maintain and Fix the Hood Cable on Dodge Neon?

First, unlatch the hood and then lift it until it opens. Take away the remote release cable from the hood latch and detach any remote hood cable connectors to free the cable. Pull off the left front cowl trim panel, then unscrew the bolts attaching the hood release handle to the cowl panel; when that's done, release the cable from the clip. Pull the rubber grommet from the inside of the vehicle and feed the hood cable out through the dash panel to take the cable and handle off the car. To install, start by leading the remote release cable from inside the vehicle through the hole in front and snap the grommet into the dash panel. Attach the screws against the hood release handle to the cowl panel and then reattach the left front cowl trim. After that, hook the end of the hood release cable to the hood latch and then connect any other remote cabling. Close the hood and test it out by using the remote hood release cable.
